| Services Offered: | KVNO's mission is to serve and enrich the
Omaha community and university through quality programming that
enlightens, entertains and informs. The station is committed to
advancing the excellence and growth of the arts in the community. KVNO's
programming is unique. The station is among a handful of public radio
stations nationwide whose format is almost entirely classical music,
whose service is locally produced, and strongly supported by the
community it serves. KVNO also features local news, as well as specialty
and ethnic programming on the weekends. River City Folk is a KVNO
production syndicated nationally, and carried by over 120 markets
nationwide. KVNO offers a 24 hour a day, 7 day per week public radio service. The station focuses on programming that is generally not available in the listening area. Ethnic programming includes a one hour German language program and a three hour Spanish language program. KVNO offers audio production services, and maintains a site on the World Wide Web which features a weekly arts events calendar. |

The Clinic is currently carried on 15 Nebraska and Iowa stations including KGOR-FM and KQKQ. LifeQuest: A weekly television education program produced by Donna Kush Stopak from Marketing and Organizational Communications and featuring experts from the UNMC talking on current health research, education and care topics. LifeQuest airs at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays on KMTV Channel 3. Dr. Ed Dominguez: A health reporter for KETV Channel 7 and UNMC physician who reports on health topics for the Omaha station and often features other UNMC experts. UNMC/HealthWatch Web page: This is a page on the WWW that offers the health segments of Dr. Ed Dominguez via the internet. The page is updated weekly with new segments and contains a library of those that have aired previously. Eventually it may be expanded to include other health information. It does link to UNMC's World Wide Web page. Dr. Bruce Buehler: Live interviews at noon on Mondays on KMTV Channel 3 about health and education topics. |
