Data Collection and Reports
In order to meet Nebraska's higher education goals stated in the Comprehensive Statewide Plan for Postsecondary Education, the Coordinating Commission maintains extensive databases and produces regular, comprehensive reports to provide a wide array of objective, factual information about higher education in Nebraska. No other entity maintains all of these kinds of data.
We are proud to serve as an information resource for legislators, reporters, the public, higher education institutions, and other government agencies.

Graduate Outcomes in Nebraska (2009)
Produced by the Nebraska Department of Labor, this report provides information on recent graduates' earnings, industry employment and work location. This publication also includes information about which majors produce graduates most likely to be employed in Nebraska, which majors produce the highest wages, which Nebraska counties graduates are employed and demographic characteristics of graduates.
A Factual Look at Higher Education in Nebraska (June 2011)
A report that uses data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) surveys to provide comparative data for Nebraska's higher education institutions.
Nebraska Higher Education Progress Report (March 8, 2011)
A report designed to provide the Nebraska Legislature with comparative statistics to monitor and evaluate progress toward achieving key priorities for Nebraska's postsecondary education system.
Residence and Migration of First-Time Freshmen, Fall 2006 (December 6, 2007).
This report provides detailed information about the first-time enrollments of Nebraska's postsecondary institutions and the enrollments of Nebraska-resident, first-time freshmen at out-of-state institutions.

Nebraska P-16 Initiative: Proposed Increase in Nebraska's College-Going Rate to Reach the Top 10 Nationally (Feb. 16, 2010) This report outlines a proposed strategy to achieve the Nebraska P-16 Initiative’s goal to improve Nebraska’s college-going rate to the Top 10 tier nationally.
College-going Rates for Nebraska Public High Schools for the High School Class of 2009-2010. (July 20, 2011) This report presents the estimated college-going rates for each of Nebraska's 276 public high schools that awarded high school diplomas in 2009-2010. These estimates are based on data obtained from the Nebraska Department of Education and the National Student Clearinghouse.

This biennial report provides an analyses of the public policy issues relating to tuition, fees and financial aid for students in Nebraska.
Nebraska Student Loan
Volume Report 1992-93 to 2002-03 (September 2005)
This report reviews student loan borrowing information and trends as they
pertain to Nebraska student borrowers. All analyzed funding is from federal
loan programs.

Graduating Into Debt: Results of the Nebraska Student Loan Survey
(August 2000)
This report is a collaboration with the National Student Loan Program. It
describe the demographics of the student borrower population, how the population
was selected, the outcome of the survey, and recommendations and conclusions
based on the survey results. The report will also present information that,
while perhaps not bearing directly on the issues of over-reliance on student
loans or deferment of life decisions, should be of interest to the reader, such
as the percentage of respondents who worked while attending college.
Facilities and Budget Reports:
2011-2013 Institutional Operating Budget Recommendations (October 2010)
This is is a constitutionally required analyses of public institutional budget
requests for the upcoming biennium. It includes information about higher
education appropriations, affordability, access and accountability;
discussions of statewide funding issues and recommendations and rationales
pertaining to institutional budget requests.
2011-2013 Capital Construction Budget Recommendations and Prioritization (October 2010)
This report contains the Coordinating Commission’s funding and priority
recommendations on capital construction budget requests from the Nebraska
State College System, the University of Nebraska and the Nebraska College of
Technical Agriculture at Curtis
Postsecondary Institutional Operating Budget Deficit Appropriation Requests: Fiscal Years 2008-09 (December 11, 2008)
The Commission reviews and makes recommendations to the Governor and the Legislature regarding any major operating budget deficit appropriation requests coming from Nebraska's postsecondary institutions.

LB 637 Dual Enrollment and Career Academy Study
(December 2011)
LB 637 directed the Coordinating Commission to study the need for uniform policies and practices
regarding dual-enrollment courses and career academies in Nebraska, as well as to examine other
opportunities for Nebraska high-school students to earn college credit, such as Advanced Placement
and International Baccalaureate programs. This report provides the results of that study. (Appendix III

LB 340 Community College Study (December 2009)
LB 340 directed the Coordinating Commission to study Nebraska's community college system and offer recommendations
for a variety of issues, including the roles and missions of the community colleges and appropriate weighting
of courses for state funding. This report provides the results of that study.

The Coordinating Commission keeps track of course and program activities by
public postsecondary institutions that are located outside of Nebraska.
2010 Biennial Report (December
9, 2010)
A report that provides an overview of the Commission's accomplishments during the past two years.
Pursuant to state statute, the Commission uses this report to inform its readers of what the Commission does and
how well it's achieving its goals.
Delivering Courses Beyond Campus Walls
This report describes the types of distance education courses available to Nebraska residents, who is delivering distance education, how distance education is delivered and how many students are taking advantage of distance education.

This document lists the programs the Coordinating Commission reviewed in the 2008 Biennium. The list also describes the Coordinating Commission's action taken on each program based on the Commission's review.
