Riko Bishop is an attorney with Perry, Guthery, Haase & Gessford, P.C., L.L.O., a law firm located in Lincoln. Prior to joining Perry, Guthery, et al, Ms. Bishop was a judicial law clerk to the Hon. Richard Sievers, former chief judge for the Nebraska Court of Appeals. Before attending law school, she served as executive assistant and office manager to the president at Bader Rutter & Associates, a marketing agency in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ms. Bishop graduated from Kearney State College with a bachelor of arts degree and earned a Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Law. After graduating from Kearney State College, she taught English at Elkhorn Junior High School and was an English teacher and creative writing coordinator and instructor for the gifted program at Bellevue Public Schools. Ms. Bishop has served on numerous educational councils and law-related committees and brings a broad perspective to her duties on the Commission.
