    Public notice of this meeting was given by posting notice on the Commission’s Web site; posting notice on the State of Nebraska's online public meeting calendar;
    e-mailing news media; and keeping a current copy of the agenda in the Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education's office, listing the date, time, and location of the meeting.

  5. NOMINATING COMMITTEE

    Committee Chair Tim Hodges will announce the Committee’s nominations for Commission Chair, Vice Chair, and two other members to make up the 2007 Executive Committee.

    Action item: Elect a Commission Chair and Vice Chair to serve from January 1 through December 31, 2007.

    Action item: Elect two members to serve on the 2007 Executive Committee, along with the newly-elected Chair and Vice Chair.

  8. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

    The Executive Committee approved the 2005-06 Biennial Report at its November 21, 2007, committee meeting. The report was delivered to the Governor and the Legislative Clerk on December 1, 2007, as required by statute. The Committee recommends that the Commission endorse the report and authorize its broad distribution..

    Action item: Endorse the 2005-06 Biennial Report. (Appendix 2)
     

  9. PLANNING AND CONSUMER INFORMATION COMMITTEE

    Action item: Approve the 2006 Factual Look - Section C: Faculty and Salaries. (Appendix 3)
     

  10. PUBLIC HEARING ON BUDGET, CONSTRUCTION, AND FINANCIAL AID COMMITTEE ITEMS

    Individuals commenting on the items listed under Agenda XI are allowed five minutes each.

      2. 2007-09 biennial public postsecondary education revised capital construction budget recommendations and prioritization for the CSC Armstrong Physical Education Building, WSC South Sioux City college center, and university and state college student information system requests. (Appendix 9)
    3. Action items: Recommendations on FY 2006-07 operating budget deficit requests:
      1. University of Nebraska’s FY 2006-07 operating budget deficit request for utilities. (Appendix 10)
