The Coordinating Commission also monitors Nebraska Legislation for bills that impact the state's postsecondary institutions. Commission staff then advise Legislators and Commissioners of the bills' impacts and provide regular status reports to Commissioners regarding the selected Legislation. Comprehensive Statewide Plan
for Postsecondary Education The Comprehensive Plan provides direction
for the future of higher education in Nebraska. It identifies goals that
will lead to an educationally and economically sound, vigorous, progressive
and coordinated higher education network throughout the state. It's used by
the Coordinating Commission to facilitate most of its statutory
decision-making processes. Meetings are open to the public
and there is an opportunity for comment at every meeting
