Statewide Analysis and Implications of Increasing Numbers of Women at Nebraska Colleges and Universities

Carna Pfeil, CCPE associate director, and Barbara McCuen, CCPE research coordinator, presented at the annual Women in Educational Leadership Conference, held Oct. 11, 2010, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Their presentation focused on the increasing numbers of women in Nebraska higher education, and the implications of that trend. McCuen also presented these findings at the Oct. 14 Commission meeting.

 

1998-2008 Factual Look at Higher Education in Nebraska – Sections A and C: Enrollment and Faculty & Salaries

Barbara McCuen, CCPE research coordinator, presented to Commissioners a 10-year-look at enrollment and faculty and salary trends for Nebraska postsecondary institutions. McCuen’s presentation occurred at the Aug. 20, 2009 Commission meeting.

 

1998-2008 Factual Look at Higher Education in Nebraska – Section B: Degrees and other Awards

Barbara McCuen, CCPE research coordinator, presented to Commissioners a 10-year-look at the number of degrees and other awards conferred statewide. McCuen’s presentation occurred at the June 18, 2009 Commission meeting.

 

Some Good News About Nebraska Postsecondary Education

Marshall A. Hill, executive director of the CCPE, presented this report to the Legislature's Education Committee on July 8, 2009, pursuant to the LR 262 hearing on postsecondary education. This brief report highlights data showing Nebraska's successes in higher education.

Kermit Spade, CCPE data analyst, presented to Commissioners a 10-year look at enrollment, degrees, and faculty and salary trends for Nebraska's public postsecondary institutions. Spade's presentation took place at the Commissioner's September 16, 2008 meeting.

 

2006-2007 Nebraska State Grant Year-end Summary

J. Ritchie Morrow, financial aid coordinator for the CCPE, presented the 2006-2007 year-end findings for the Nebraska State Grant program to Commissioners at their Commission meeting on May 8, 2008.  The Nebraska State Grant program is designed to give qualified students funds to attend postsecondary institutions throughout the state.

 

2010 Nebraska Higher Education Progress Report

Presented to CCPE Commissioners March 11, 2010 by Barbara McCuen, research coordinator for the CCPE. This is the sixth annual progress report designed to provide the Nebraska Legislature with comparative statistics to monitor and evaluate progress toward achieving key priorities for Nebraska's postsecondary education system.

 

The Economic Impact of Educational Attainment (click here for print version)

Presented to CCPE Commissioners March 6, 2008 by Kermit Spade, data analyst for the CCPE. The presentation provides information regarding an "in-the-ballpark" estimate of the potential earnings and tax revenues Nebraskans would produce if all residents achieved higher levels of education.
